Play-by-play

Riley enjoys describing the story of each game for the fans. With 21 years of experience behind the microphone, Kyle has broadcasted over 950 sporting events, including 30 State Championships, a Pioneer League Championship Series and a Bourne Cup Finals, for 73 stations around Montana and beyond (CO, NM, ND, OK, OR, WA, & WY). Sports covered include: Pioneer League baseball; high school basketball, football, volleyball and wrestling; American Legion baseball; AWHL & NPHL hockey; NAIA basketball and football; NCAA Division II basketball; and NIFL football. Public Address Announcer

Before becoming the radio play-by-play voice in 2014, Riley was heard at Billings' favorite baseball venues, Cobb Field and Dehler Park, for ten seasons as the public address announcer of the Billings Mustangs, the Rookie League affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Riley announced over 330 minor league games, calling the names of many future major leaguers as they began their careers. Riley has also served as master of ceremonies for various public events, including a recurring position as the emcee of the local Relay for Life Survivors' Reception dinner.


On-Air Personality

Riley's talents have enabled him to work in a variety of on-air roles. From News/Talk to Country, Adult Contemporary to Classic Rock, Oldies to SportsTalk, Riley has done it. Positions include:

  • Morning News/Sports update reporter
  • Morning News/Talk fill-in host
  • On-air personality (numerous music formats)
  • On-location remote broadcasts
  • Voiceover talent (radio/TV/informational video)
  • Weekly coach's show host (AWHL hockey and NIFL football)
